Street Rescue & Rehoming. Tinkerbell & Blue!

I taught this gorgeous, precocious Applehead Chihuahua how to pick up a pen for its working owner in 20 minutes! How quickly a pooch trains depends on many variables. The pups I prefer to work with the best are those whose pet families are active participants in the training. Yes! I give homework! Lol.

I provide consultations, often free, to pet owners who simply need a helping hand as they train their own dogs. The short-term goal of 12 Paws Foundation is to help pet owners keep their dogs. A trained dog is most likely to be kept as part of the family, not isolated & chained to a tree in the backyard because of frustrated humans. In my spare time, I help train Shelter Dogs to become more adoptable to forever homes. Training them, I hope, will prevent their being returned. This causes more stress on the shelter, its workers, & the animal.

I learned to do VERY BASIC dog grooming but enjoy my signature "Singing Baths"

I adopted out these sweet babies after rescuing them from street abandonment.  Their mom was a runaway Husky, thus the blue eyes. Tinkerbell & Blue ended up well cared for & loved in separate homes. I followed up with them over the years.

With regular donations to 12 Paws Foundation, I pay for routine & emergency care, which includes vaccinations & medication.

                           

                            

"Sit - Stay"

 I do simple brushing, tick check & removal, ear check/cleaning, & nail trimming. Special needs furbabies & are welcome.  I have a great rapport with my veterinarian.
