My 1st bilingual short story coloring book is based on a true concept!
While living & operating 12 Paws Foundation, my petcare business in
a regular house, in a regular neighborhood, I looked out of a regular window,
DURING A REGULAR HOT ATLANTA WEATHER DAY
and saw...
A BIG PIGLET NOT WEARING A SWEATER!
Well, that's not 100% true. I saw a fat dog wearing a sweater on the other side of the fence I shared with an unoccupied house next door. With that, my dogs & boarders were barking like crazy. As I approached the adjoining see-through fence, I discovered the strange dog was a young potbelly pig, OMG!
In the days ahead, I fed him, created a shelter with my dog's crate covered with a tarp, & named him Senor Oinx. He became my 1st pig rescue.
I was used to rescuing dogs, so I followed my usual protocol. I visited my friendly veterinarian for advice. Oinx may need to be sedated at the time of transfer to a permanent home.
Capturing the cute sweaterless tail-wagging piggie became such an outrageous event! The crazy excitement of recruiting neighbors to assist in the round-up prompted me to write the coloring book setting in a wrestling ring. This enjoyable short story book is a rare gem, just like Señor Oinx!
The marvelous animations were by my Peruvian artist friend, an actual professional wrestler. I look forward to using his work again. My book has also been on sale in Peru. @carpau026 @cpkiller Carlos does commission work.
