"Nala - Wala, Nyum - Nyum Boom Chooka Now Wow!"

Nala aka Nala  Wala, Nyum  Nyum, Boom Chooka Now Wow,

was the unlikely Service Dogs.

My original purposes for purchasing Nala, a baby Great Pyrenees puppy, were 1) the opportunity presented itself, and 2) I loved teddy bears!  I had a huge house with an even grander yard. A Great Pyrenees is rarely used as a human's Assistance Dog. However, her keen sense of awareness of the environment, intense training, and loving care for me qualified her to work for & with me.

I already had a great working Service Dog as well as a spare with Sashabutt & Oreo. But when both of those furbabies passed in proximity to each other, Nala stepped up to the plate about 2 years later. Right before my eyes, my cavity sweet, aloof, gentle giant "changed her stripes."  I vividly remember, about 2 weeks after she openly grieved, she began posturing herself near me at key times. Nala became so attentive to me to the point that when I struggled to stand or sit, my big gal presented her body. By the time I got Nala, I didn't need a Service Dog to retrieve items, help pull off clothing, or perform the specific duties of her predecessors Panther, Tobi, Sasha, & Oreo.  Understanding the assignment, the Pyreneese became my steady brace. While on walkies, Nala Wala decided to gently pull me forward through the leash. Most importantly, when I had visually limiting iritis attacks, Nala became my eyes! She led me away from dangerous oncoming traffic. Specifically, on two seperate occaisions, the over fluffed pooch prevented me from stepping out in front of a speeding bus & a truck without any prompting from me. I enjoyed the safety & jolly play of this lovely multi-assistant working dog for nearly 7 years.

B&W Nala

My big burly well-trained fluffanutter Nala Wala Nyum Nyum Boom Now Wow was the perfect Service Dog for me during a very independent era of my life.!

When I wasn't using my wheelchair, Nala & I were a TETHERED TEAM that children loved!

Nala & Vana

Nala was easily  the whitest & fluffiest puppy in the room. In stores & schools, she was often mistaken for a big polar bear!  No longer in a wheelchair full-time, this Service Dog's help was crucial as my mobility upgraded to ambulation with a cane or rollator. Donned with leg braces, Nala’s crucial task was to give a strong yet gentle giant type of pull with her leash tethered to my waist. My rare Muscular Dystrophy stems from a deficiency of a chemical that gives muscles energy.

Nala Wala's stunning look attracts many to want to reach out and touch her. She loved the attention she received from donning her signature "Make You Smile Bow"
